As the Vice President of Xcelerate’s DoD Portfolio, Brett Mencin is responsible for performance and continued growth of all associated contracts. This diverse portfolio supports the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), U.S. Army, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and other Federal Agencies.
Brett has more than a decade of personnel security experience directly supporting the Defense and Federal Government Personnel Vetting transformation. He is a recognized Subject Matter Expert within the domain and has been a featured speaker at the Society of Industrial Security Professional’s NCMS conference, the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) conference, and the Training, Resources, and Information-Sharing Security Awareness Council (TRI-SAC). Brett has a strong working knowledge of all Personnel Vetting regulations and standards and has supported all facets of the mission, from reengineering the business processes to consolidating the varied business and organizational functions across the Federal Government.
Brett holds a Master of Science degree in the Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Real Estate from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He also maintains several Agile development certifications (e.g., Agile Coach, Scaled Agile [SAFe]) and is an active member of the Professional Services Council (PSC).
